Tina Ko

MPT, BKin (SHE/HER/HERS)

Tina completed her Master of Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia. She has also obtained additional certifications in vestibular and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) therapy. Tina is passionate about supporting people to move confidently by reducing pain, improving function, supporting injury recovery, and returning to sport. She has experience treating musculoskeletal injuries, post-operative recovery, fall prevention with older adults, and neurological populations. She also treats patients through her part time role in the Emergency Department at Burnaby Hospital, helping individuals move better and recover stronger in acute care settings.

Tina takes a collaborative, hands-on, and whole-body approach, by working closely with you to understand your goals, daily demands, and how different areas of your body influence one another. She combines manual therapy, personalized exercise programs, and practical education to address the root cause of symptoms, rebuild strength and resilience, and help you feel confident managing your recovery long-term.

Growing up as a competitive swimmer, Tina brings over a decade of experience as a swim coach, lifeguard, and aquatics supervisor. She also stays active through weightlifting, kickboxing, skiing, hiking, and camping, giving her a practical understanding of how the body adapts and recovers across different stages of life and activity. Outside of the studio, Tina enjoys exploring new hobbies, including watercolor painting, and discovering creative ways to stay active. She is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.
