BKIN, MPT (SHE/HER/HERS)
Tyra is a dedicated physiotherapist who completed her Master of Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Kinesiology in the Neuromechanical and Physiological Sciences stream from UBC. Born and raised in Richmond, she has a strong connection to the local community and is passionate about helping people move meaningfully with confidence.
Tyra values a welcoming, collaborative, and safe space where individuals can build resilience in their movement and independence in their activities of daily living. She integrates evidence-based practice and a variety of techniques in her individually-tailored treatment plans, including manual therapy, joint mobilizations, and exercises. Her goal is to help each client feel empowered throughout their rehabilitation journey.
Tyra is certified with her Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal (AIM) Physiotherapy Program Level 1. She also has diverse experience in both the private physiotherapy clinic and hospital settings. She has supported clients with a variety of presentations including neurological conditions, athletic injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, workplace injuries, motor vehicle accident injuries, and in pediatric outpatient clinics at B.C. Children’s Hospital and Sunny Hill Health Center. These experiences have shaped her patient-centered and function-focused approach.
Growing up, Tyra was actively involved in the Richmond sports community, playing competitive volleyball for many years. Her love for the sport continues today as she is both a youth and adult volleyball coach, giving her valuable insight into sports performance, injury prevention, and return-to-play rehabilitation. Outside of the studio, Tyra also enjoys hiking, weightlifting, skiing/snowboarding, pilates, and improving her tennis skills!
Tyra is fluent in English.
