RUNNING ASSESSMENT IN COQUITLAM
Why clients in Coquitlam choose us.
Running assessment at our Coquitlam studio uses treadmill video analysis, a physical examination, and a strength screen to find the mechanical pattern behind a recurring injury. Your physiotherapist watches you run, identifies what is overloading and what is under-contributing, and builds a written plan around those findings. Sessions take 60 to 75 minutes.
We see a steady mix of Port Moody recreational runners, Tri-Cities track athletes, and people who have picked up running again after a long break. The common thread is someone who has been treating the painful spot without addressing the loading pattern that created it. The assessment is how we change that.
Coquitlam has a strong runner community across distances, from 5km road races to ultramarathon prep on the trails around Mundy Park and Burke Mountain. The assessment is calibrated to the terrain and distances you actually train on.

FAQ
Running Assessment in Coquitlam — questions.
Do I need a referral to book a running assessment in Coquitlam?
+
No referral needed. Book directly through JaneApp or call the studio. If treatment is indicated beyond the assessment, you can continue with the same physiotherapist.
I run mostly trails around Burke Mountain. Is the treadmill analysis still useful?
+
Yes. Treadmill analysis captures foot strike, cadence, trunk lean, and arm swing clearly. Trail-specific demands, like lateral stability and descent mechanics, are also assessed through the physical examination.
How many sessions does a running assessment take?
+
The assessment itself is one session. Some clients book a follow-up at 4 to 6 weeks to review progress on the program and re-check a specific pattern. Most people do not need more than two visits for the assessment piece.
