TMJ THERAPY IN COQUITLAM
Why clients in Coquitlam choose us.
TMJ therapy in Coquitlam for jaw pain is delivered on the second floor at 204-3007 Glen Drive, across from Coquitlam Centre mall and a short walk from Lincoln SkyTrain. The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is the hinge just in front of the ear, and a big part of our Tri-Cities caseload is jaw pain that shows up after a car crash, alongside the whiplash we already treat through ICBC.
Your care is led by physiotherapists with training in the jaw, working to the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC scope. That means hands-on treatment of the jaw and neck, gentle work to settle clicking and catching, and a short home program. Our RMTs and chiropractor share the same floor, so neck and soft-tissue work can join the plan when it helps.
We do not claim to cure the joint, but treatment can help reduce jaw pain and improve how smoothly and how far the jaw opens. If a night guard or a bite check is needed, that is a dentist's job and we coordinate with them.
Open to 8pm Monday to Friday and on Saturdays, with a steady post-crash ICBC caseload, so jaw pain after an accident is familiar ground here.

FAQ
TMJ Therapy in Coquitlam: questions.
How do I get to the Coquitlam studio from Lincoln SkyTrain, and is there parking?
+
Walk west along Pinetree Way then south on Glen Drive, about seven minutes, to the office tower at 3007 Glen Drive, suite 204 on the second floor. Paid underground parking is in the building, and the Coquitlam Centre lot across the street offers free three-hour parking.
My jaw started clicking after a car accident. Is that covered by ICBC?
+
Yes. Jaw pain that starts after a crash is covered under ICBC's pre-approved physiotherapy, and no referral is needed. Bring your claim number to the first visit and we direct bill. Extended health plans are direct-billed up to your plan limit for non-ICBC cases.
Will you need to treat inside my mouth?
+
Only if you want that. Intraoral work, done gently with a gloved finger inside the mouth, is optional and consent-based. Plenty of people get results from outside-the-mouth jaw and neck treatment and a home program, and you can say no to intraoral work at any point.
Do I need a dentist as well as a physio for my jaw?
+
Sometimes. A physiotherapist treats how the jaw moves and calms the muscles and joint down. A dentist checks your bite and makes a night guard if you grind your teeth. We do not make night guards or change the bite, so when grinding is a factor we work alongside your dentist.
