BIKE FITTING
Bike fitting that ends the knee, back, and saddle pain on the ride.
Physiotherapy-led bike fitting — anatomy first, watts second. Road, gravel, TT, e-bike.
OVERVIEW
What is a bike fit at Launch Rehab?
A bike fit at Launch Rehab is a physiotherapy-led process that starts with you, not the bike. We assess your hip, knee, ankle and trunk mobility off the bike first — because the right position is the one your anatomy actually allows, not the one Strava influencers ride.
From there we move to the bike on a stationary trainer. Saddle height, fore-aft, cleat position, reach, drop and hand position are adjusted while you pedal under load. We capture video of the changes and review them with you.
Most clients book a bike fit because something hurts — usually a knee, lower back, neck, hands or saddle area. Others come in to dial efficiency or set up a new bike. Both are good reasons.
BENEFITS
What this work is for.
- Resolve knee, hip, lower-back and neck pain on the bike
- Improve pedalling efficiency and power transfer
- Set up a new bike correctly from day one
- Adjust position for a new event or training block
- Address numbness, saddle pain and hot-foot
WHAT TO EXPECT
Your session, step by step.
Off-bike assessment
Mobility, strength and movement screen — hip internal rotation, ankle dorsiflexion, hamstring length, lumbar control. The fit starts here.
On-bike measurement
Bike on a trainer, video from multiple angles, baseline measurements taken with you pedalling at realistic load.
Iterative changes
Adjustments to cleat, saddle and reach, one variable at a time. We re-test and re-film at each step.
Written summary
You leave with all final measurements documented — so any future bike or shop visit can match them exactly.

KIND WORDS
What our clients say.
"Great place! Had a severe lower back pain. Slowly but surely it became much better. Staff is super friendly, Harleen Gill is a great physiotherapist, very polite and really cares about you. Also, a guy administrator (sorry,I forgot your name) - polite and kind, always asks about my condition and offers water (seems like he knows I always forget to stay hydrated haha). Thank you!"
