WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING MY FIRST PHYSIOTHERAPY SESSION?

During your first session, our physiotherapist will conduct a comprehensive assessment to understand your health history, current condition, and your rehabilitation goals. This will include a physical examination and a discussion of your symptoms and lifestyle. Based on this, a personalized treatment plan will be developed.

HOW LONG DOES EACH PHYSIOTHERAPY SESSION LAST?

The initial session is 60 minutes, this allows for a thorough history and assessment, ensuring we get to the root cause of your problem. Each follow up session at Launch Rehab lasts for 30 minutes, but we also offer extended sessions of 60 minutes when necessary. The duration of each session will depend on the individual’s condition and their personalized treatment plan.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY PHYSIOTHERAPY APPOINTMENTS?

It’s best to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing to your physiotherapy sessions. This allows our therapists to easily access the area under treatment and for you to move freely during the session. If we’re treating a lower limb, shorts are advisable. For upper body treatments, a loose top is ideal.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED TO SEE IMPROVEMENT?

The number of sessions required varies greatly depending on the condition being treated, its complexity, and your individual response to therapy. Typically, patients start to see improvement after 3-5 sessions. However, your physiotherapist will provide a more accurate estimate during your initial assessment.
