Physiotherapists
Jin obtained his Master of Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia where he also completed his Bachelor of Kinesiology. Jin’s passion for physiotherapy first started when he saw his sister battle chronic pain from a major motor vehicle accident. He was inspired by how physiotherapy and exercise can truly make a difference in someone’s life. Jin believes that patient empowerment matters. He strives to listen to the needs and goals of his clients to come up with an individualized treatment plan in their recovery.
Jin has an interest in treating various musculoskeletal conditions from everyday back pain to sports injuries. He also believes that there are no small injuries; regardless of how it happened, he will treat according to the latest evidence-based practices and exercises to help prevent the injury from re-occurring.
Jin was born in South Korea and immigrated to Vancouver at the age of 10. He grew up in Port Moody and Burnaby representing his school in track and field and soccer. Jin fully embraces both his Canadian and Korean cultures. During his free time, Jin likes to stay active through spikeball, soccer, and neighbourhood strolls with his dog Cookie.
Jin is fluent in both English and Korean.
Jocelyn completed both her Masters of Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Kinesiology degrees at The University of British Columbia. She has experience working in a variety of conditions, including: post- stroke, traumatic brain and spinal cord injury, chronic pain, sport- specific injury, and general overuse or occupational injury.
Having sustained several sport- and motor vehicle- related injuries herself, Jocelyn understands the frustrating nature of recovery and is keen on gaining a full understanding of her client's needs. Through manual therapy, exercise, education and modalities, she is here to encourage her client's to take charge of their recovery. Jocelyn believes in creating specific, tailored programs in order to find realistic solutions to meet each person's functional needs and lifestyle.
Jocelyn is fluent in English, and conversational in Cantonese. Outside of the clinic, you can find her eating her way through Metro Vancouver, weight lifting, travelling, or enjoying her book at the park.
Boris completed his Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from Brunel University London. Prior to that, he obtained an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia.
Boris has gained valuable rehabilitation and injury management experience in a multitude of clinical settings. Boris aims to provide an evidence-based approach that incorporates manual and exercise therapy to help you get back to doing what you love. As a competitive soccer player growing up, Boris has had a fair share of injuries. This ultimately led him to developing a passion for performance therapy, providing physical therapy with the mission of improving athletic performance, recovery and injury prevention. He has experience working with professional and university varsity level soccer players.
Outside of his career, Boris spends time playing soccer, basketball and working out in the gym. Boris is fluent in Serbian and English.
Wen holds a Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Victoria. Before embarking on his graduate studies, Wen accumulated invaluable work experience across China, Canada, and the United States.
His dedication is focused on aiding patients in restoring function post hip and knee replacement surgeries, guiding active rehabilitation for motor vehicle injuries, and refining athletic performance.
During his clinical placements at UBC, he gained valuable experiences working at the Acute Urology and Plastic Surgery Inpatient, the Elderly Care Clinic, the Outpatient Trauma and Hand Clinic at Vancouver General Hospital, and the Acquired Brain Injury Outpatient at GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre.
Outside the clinic, he also works in the Acute Medicine at Vancouver General Hospital.
Wen is fluent in both Mandarin and English and holds the Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal (AIM) Level 1 certificate.
Garman completed his Master of Science in Physiotherapy at Brunel University London in London, UK. Prior to this he received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with Honours from Simon Fraser University.
Garman has years of experience in work rehabilitation programs in private clinics. Clients can expect Garman to provide a holistic approach to their care to ensure their interests and needs are achieved in a timely manner. He aims to motivate and educate to support clients through an active-based rehabilitation program.
When not in the clinic, Garman enjoys playing volleyball, swimming, weight-training, hiking outdoors, photography, and spending time with family and friends.
Chris completed his Master of Physiotherapy at Sydney University, Australia in 2010 after completing his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University. Since graduating, he has completed his Acupuncture Canada Certification Level 1. Chris also implements Gunn IMS which can assist in restoring dysfunction in patients with chronic nagging issues that do not seem to improve, even with exercises.
With on-field experience as a trainer/physio for high school football teams and recreational rugby teams, Chris utilizes his hands-on approach to his work on the field and in the clinic. He has years of experience in private practice covering a wide range of acute and chronic conditions which include post-operative surgeries, chronic myofascial syndromes, motor vehicle related injuries, and workplace injuries.
Chris spends his spare time gardening, completing DIY projects on his home, cooking and travelling. He remains active by playing basketball, hiking, snowboarding, and keeping up with his 3 young children.
Sherine completed their Master of Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Kinesiology degrees at the University of British Columbia. They have additional certification under the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
Growing up practicing kickboxing and Muay Thai, they developed a fascination with the movement of the human body; having experienced many sporting injuries as well, they developed an interest in studying human biomechanics and rehabilitation. Sherine believes in an active approach to physical therapy, utilizing a combination of exercise, manual therapy, education and modalities to help clients achieve their goals and return to the activities they love. At each one-on-one session, you can expect Sherine to provide a comfortable environment for you to have your needs and concerns heard and met with a personalized treatment plan.
In their free time, Sherine enjoys lifting weights at the gym, practicing Muay Thai and reading thriller novels. Occasionally, they will be found completing jigsaw puzzles.

Gursevak graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, and a concentration in Active Health and Rehabilitation. While completing his undergraduate studies, he gained a passion for strength training and exercise, which eventually led him to complete the Master of Physical Therapy program at the University of British Columbia. Gursevak has obtained his Functional Movement Screen and Orthopaedic Division Level 1 certifications and is excited to bring his experience and expertise to Launch Rehab.
Gursevak understands the importance of active and empathic listening and always takes the time to learn about a client’s specific injuries, preferences, and goals in order to support them through the rehabilitation process. He believes that communicating effectively and building connections with clients is a fundamental part of being a physical therapist. Gursevak enjoys volunteering in his community and works with the New Westminster Hyacks football team where he assists with various on-field injuries.
Gursevak is committed to pursuing an active lifestyle and can be found weight-training, hiking, or swimming in his spare time.
Keane graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 2002 at McGill University. As a therapist for the McGill Cross Country/Track & Field team, he gained extensive experience in the management and rehabilitation of acute and chronic running injuries.
Currently, he is a member of the Sport Physiotherapy and Orthopaedic Divisions of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
As an experienced hands-on therapist, Keane has received additional training in the treatment of the lumbar spine, the shoulder, the ankle, and the hand; furthermore, he is certified to practice acupuncture (CAFCI) by Acupuncture Canada.
In the sports realm, Keane has worked extensively with both runners and baseball athletes, acting as trainer for various local sports teams throughout the years.
As one of the senior therapists in the company, Keane enjoys sharing his clinical experience with our staff and plays an integral role in the company's mentorship program for junior physiotherapists.
Registered Massage Therapists
Jeff is a graduate of the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy. Prior to pursuing massage therapy, he completed the Kinesiology Program at The University of British Columbia. He aims to integrate his previous knowledge with his newfound expertise to address current situations and provide individuals with relief from pain and discomfort.
He strongly believes that effective communication between the client and therapist is paramount for achieving positive and efficient results. Tailoring treatments to align with his clients' goals, Jeff collaborates closely with them to ensure their objectives are met effectively. Furthermore, he emphasizes the importance of preventive measures in establishing a solid foundation for managing unforeseen circumstances. Jeff incorporates techniques such as stretches, mobility exercises, functional movements, and general strengthening post-treatment to develop a sustainable, long-term plan with his clients.
Beyond the clinic, you may find Jeff lifting weights at the gym, hiking, or practicing martial arts. He also enjoys exploring various regions in BC and traveling around the world.

Before pursuing a career in massage therapy, Ferrah had over a decade of experience working as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at the hospital in an acute setting. Having gone through personal and work-related injuries, she understands the importance of integrative rehabilitative treatments during recovery. Ferrah is passionate about helping people regain their health as well as learning more about the human anatomy.
Ferrah graduated from Vancouver College of Massage Therapy (VCMT) and is currently trained in a broad range of techniques, including but not limited to: Swedish, Myofascial, Deep tissue, Neuromuscular, Joint mobilization, and Trigger-point release. Her ongoing goal is to provide personalized and effective treatments to each and every client.
She can speak English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Arra graduated from Vancouver College of Massage Therapy (VCMT) where she studied various techniques and gained clinical experience treating patients with a variety of conditions like acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries, stress and work-related concerns causing pain and tension, neurological conditions, and more.
Her interest in the human body and its function, as well as how manual therapy affects the body, led her to pursue and become a RMT. She understands that massage therapy is significant and helpful in one’s overall health by promoting relaxation, reducing stress, providing relief from pain/tension, and preventing injuries. She is passionate to help people achieve their needs to gain and/or improve their overall functional performance because she personally felt the benefits of massage therapy from her own experience with injuries.
She uses a variety of techniques, including but not limited to: general Swedish massage, deep tissue work, joint mobilization, myofascial release, neuromuscular technique, trigger-point release, etc. She hopes to continue to seek beneficial courses and opportunities in the near future to advance her knowledge in order to better tailor effective treatment plans for her clients.
In addition to practicing massage therapy, Arra works as an engineering technologist/drafter. She also enjoys working out at the gym, playing badminton, reading books and watching anime. She spends most of her time with her family and two cats.

Anthony graduated from the Vancouver Career College Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) program in 2021. Prior to RMT school, he was a high school athlete who, like many others, sustained injuries that caused limitations in the sports he enjoyed. He found a passion in helping others take care of their bodies to avoid injuries that could hinder their ability to continue with everyday activities.
Anthony understands that not everyone presents the same, therefore, treatment is individualized for each patient’s unique needs. It is important for him to work alongside his clients to restore overall function, provide relief, and identify any barriers to recovery. A typical treatment with Anthony could include various modalities such as trigger-point therapy, myofascial release, deep tissue, Swedish massage, and hydrotherapy. He also aims to centre each session around bringing awareness to the areas of the body that need it most.
Outside of work, Anthony enjoys hiking, biking, weightlifting and watching movies.
Dr. Edward Lu obtained his Doctorate of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and his Bachelor of Kinesiology degree at UBC. He is also licensed as a RMT and has certifications in various courses such as Functional Movement Screen and Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS).
Having worked with individuals ranging from desk workers to professional athletes, Edward will tailor a treatment plan unique to your needs. Whether it is headaches, neck and back pain, or injuries relating to the jaw (TMJ), shoulders, or knee, Edward will use a combination of different techniques to address your concerns and get you back to doing the activities you love. Julius is a graduate of West Coast College of Massage Therapy (WCCMT) and has a background in Kinesiology from Langara College. He utilizes the knowledge from both his Kinesiology diploma and skills learned from WCCMT to tailor treatment plans for his clients.
Julius has always had a fascination with human anatomy, specifically on how it functions and helping others reach their full potential. Massage therapy was a natural fit for his strengths and passion. He has experience in sports-related injuries, working with people with spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis and other ailments. His treatments utilize various techniques such as trigger-point therapy, myofascial release, active release technique, joint mobilizations & deep tissue work. He couples these modalities with his knowledge of stretching and exercise to create an optimal plan for his clients’ needs.
In his free time, you can find Julius training for a powerlifting meet, hiking, playing board games and enjoying Vancouver’s foodie scene!
Leslie graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy, which was a life-changing experience that solidified her passion for healthcare. For over a decade, She worked as a Certified Dental Assistant in orthodontics, which taught her valuable skills in providing patient care and working with people from diverse backgrounds.
During this time, Leslie developed a deep appreciation for the importance of physical health and how it contributes to overall well-being. This inspired her to pursue a career in massage therapy, where she could help people reach their full potential and improve their quality of life.
During her spare time, you can find Leslie exploring Vancouver’s vibrant food scene and trying out new restaurants or enjoying spending time with friends whether it’s over a game night or a good meal. Connecting with people and making meaningful connections is something that she values and cherishes, both in her personal and professional life.
Meet Herman, a graduate from Vancouver College of Massage Therapy. He believes that anyone can pursue what they love without being held back by physical limitations. Herman aims to show that reaching your lifestyle goals is absolutely attainable, with a little guidance in the right direction.
Herman began his health and fitness journey at the University of British Columbia, where he completed his bachelor in Nutritional Sciences. Shortly after, he obtained his Personal Trainer certification from NSCA. Herman’s past weightlifting injuries and clinical practice have given him experience working with musculoskeletal conditions, neurological symptoms, sports-related injuries and chronic pain.
Outside the clinic, you can find Herman training in the gym, playing basketball and developing his videography skills.

Neil graduated from West Coast College of Massage Therapy (WCCMT) in 2014. His passion for health, interest in anatomy, and his own active lifestyle led him to become a RMT. While attending WCCMT he assisted in treating patients with a variety of conditions in a clinical setting and attended multiple outreach programs and sporting events. This includes Ride to Conquer Cancer, Seawheeze Marathon, Concrete Hero, CIBC Run for the Cure, UBC Varsity, South Grandville Senior Center, and more.
Manual therapy is a great alternative to dealing with pain and stress, and finding the root cause of a problem is essential. Neil focuses on targeting specific muscles and soft tissues to help release tension, pain, stress, and to promote circulation and relaxation. He uses a combination of Deep Tissue and Myofascial Techniques to treat headaches, musculoskeletal pain and tension, soft tissue injuries, and peripheral neuropathy. Neil also has an interest in Sport-Style treatments that include passive stretching and performing active and passive movements during treatment.
Outside of work, Neil enjoys playing tennis, basketball, hockey, and spending time with family and friends.

KINESIOLOGISTS
Katherine graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Kinesiology. She became involved in athletics at a very young age, taking on many sports such as track and field, volleyball, dance and ski. Her love for sports added to her fascination with the human body and its mechanics, which led her to pursue a degree in Kinesiology.
Katherine’s aim is to help all her patients achieve their goals, whatever they might be. She has a special interest in sports rehabilitation and sport-specific training, but also loves working with regular clients who are simply looking to improve their health. Her approach to rehab is holistic as she believes in whole-body healing from a physical and mental standpoint. Further, Katherine has extensive experience with patients with Huntington’s disease as well.
Outside of work, Katherine helps coach a high school volleyball team. She is also a certified ski instructor and loves to ski with her family during the winter. In the summer, Katherine enjoys many outdoor activities, such as paddle boarding and hiking.
Katherine is fluent in Mandarin and French.
REGISTERED CLINICAL COUNSELLORS
Rita is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#3402) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors and holds a Master of Counselling from Trinity Western University. She has always been fascinated by the human mind and behavior, and she has a deep love for music. This passion led her on a journey to complete a Bachelor of Arts with a Psychology Major and Music Minor at the University of British Columbia. After physically recovering from a significant car accident during her undergraduate years, she experienced firsthand the incredible potential for growth and healing, inspiring her to share this experience with others.
Since 2004, Rita has worked with children and adults in both community and clinic settings, providing support and treatment for those navigating life's challenges, including individuals impacted by physical injuries, mental health issues such as anxiety and depression, grief and loss, workplace stress, burnout, and neurodivergence.
Through her experience as a counsellor, she recognizes that each person possesses unique abilities, characteristics, strengths, needs, and goals. As a result, she integrates various theoretical approaches and modalities to support each client’s development of resources, capacity, and resilience in their journey of life and recovery. Her primary focus is on fostering self-compassion and a mind-body connection by exploring emotional and physiological experiences, as well as core beliefs formed within family and cultural contexts.
Rita incorporates concepts and techniques from interpersonal neurobiology, polyvagal theory, attachment theory, emotionally focused therapy (EFT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), internal family systems (IFS)/parts model, somatic experiencing (SE), and sensorimotor psychotherapy. She has completed EMDR Basic Training (EMDRIA Approved), earned the Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Certification, and obtained a Certificate in Foundations of Play Therapy. Rita believes in the power of creativity and expressive arts—such as visual art, music, dance/movement, creative writing, and sandplay—in the therapeutic process, offering clients the option to incorporate these modalities into their counselling experience, regardless of skill level.
