Running Assessment

Whether you have suffered an injury from a marathon or if you need some support and guidance after a long period of inactivity. A running assessment is for all levels and will help you to get back on your feet again.

Running assessments are comprehensive evaluations designed to analyze an individual’s running technique, form, and biomechanics. Conducted by our trained physiotherapist and with Runeasi technology, these assessments aim to identify any imbalances, inefficiencies, or potential issues in a runner’s movement patterns. The insights gained from a running assessment can lead to personalized recommendations for improving performance, preventing injuries, and enhancing overall running experience.

Benefits of Running Assessments

Running assessments offer valuable insights for runners seeking to improve their technique, prevent injuries, and elevate their overall running experience. Consulting with our trained physiotherapist to undergo a comprehensive assessment can lead to better performance, enhanced enjoyment, and a healthier running journey.

  • Injury Prevention: Running assessments help identify biomechanical issues that might contribute to injuries. By addressing these issues early on, runners can reduce the risk of developing overuse injuries.
  • Performance Enhancement: Assessments highlight areas where runners can optimize their form and technique. Improving efficiency can lead to better running times and enhanced overall performance.
  • Biomechanical Analysis: Running assessments provide detailed insights into a runner’s gait, stride length, foot strike pattern, and other biomechanical factors. This information is crucial for understanding how each individual’s body moves during running.
  • Customized Recommendations: Based on the assessment findings, professionals can provide personalized recommendations for exercises, stretches, footwear, and training modifications that cater to the runner’s specific needs.
  • Gait Analysis: Gait analysis is a key component of running assessments. It helps identify any irregularities in a runner’s stride, foot placement, and posture, which may impact overall running mechanics.
  • Footwear Guidance: Professionals can suggest appropriate footwear based on a runner’s biomechanics and gait analysis. Wearing the right shoes can significantly contribute to improved comfort and performance.
  • Efficient Running Mechanics: Running assessments teach runners how to adopt more efficient running mechanics, reducing energy wastage and minimizing the risk of fatigue.
  • Better Form: Corrections made during the assessment can lead to better running posture, reducing strain on muscles and joints and helping runners maintain their form over longer distances.
  • Feedback and Coaching: Running assessments often involve feedback and coaching sessions, helping runners understand their strengths and areas for improvement. This enhances their ability to make necessary adjustments.
  • Long-Term Benefits: The insights gained from a running assessment provide lasting benefits. Runners can apply the knowledge to their training routines, helping them run more effectively and enjoyably for years to come.

Who Should Consider a Running Assessment:

  • Runners of all levels, from beginners to experienced athletes
