HOW IT WORKS

Your first WorkSafeBC visit, step by step.

  1. 01

    Report and book.

Your employer reports the injury to WorkSafeBC. Once you have a claim number, call or book online with the Coquitlam studio.

  2. 02

    First assessment.

Your physiotherapist assesses the injury, screens for anything that needs a physician, and begins treatment with a return-to-work plan in mind.

  3. 03

    Ongoing reporting.

We file the progress reports WorkSafeBC requires and coordinate with your case manager until you're cleared for full duties.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Coquitlam WorkSafeBC, answered.

Where is the Coquitlam studio?
We are on the second floor of the Evergreen building at 204-3007 Glen Dr, at the corner of Glen Dr and Pinetree Way. Use the commercial entrance off Glen Dr. Lincoln SkyTrain Station is a two-minute walk.
What is the WorkSafeBC Early Access to Physiotherapy Program (EAPP)?
EAPP stands for Early Access to Physiotherapy Program. It is a WorkSafeBC programme that lets workers with sprain or strain injuries start physiotherapy from the day of injury, before a formal case decision. Once the claim is accepted, the Physiotherapy Treatment Period covers up to 10 visits or 5 calendar weeks, whichever is reached first, with extensions available when recovery needs longer. EAPP runs through clinics WorkSafeBC has enrolled in the programme. Being a WorkSafeBC-accepted provider is not the same thing as being enrolled in EAPP, so confirm the current list of enrolled clinics with WorkSafeBC on 1-888-967-5377.
Does the Coquitlam studio offer kinesiology under WorkSafeBC?
Yes. As of April 1, 2026, kinesiology sessions are approvable under accepted WorkSafeBC claims. Our Coquitlam team includes kinesiologists, and your physiotherapist can request kinesiology approval through your case manager once the treatment plan calls for it.
What WorkSafeBC-covered services are available at the Coquitlam studio?
Coquitlam offers physiotherapy, registered massage therapy, acupuncture and IMS, clinical Pilates, and kinesiology, direct-billed to WorkSafeBC for accepted claims. If your case also needs chiropractic or clinical counselling, our North Burnaby or Richmond studios carry those.
Do I need my employer to approve treatment before I book?
No. Your employer reports the injury to WorkSafeBC to open the claim, but once you have a claim number you can book directly. We handle the WorkSafeBC paperwork and progress reporting for treatment under your accepted claim.
Is parking available at the Coquitlam studio?
There is paid street parking on Glen Drive. Free street parking is also available on The High Street nearby. With Lincoln SkyTrain two minutes away, many clients choose to commute rather than park.
How long does WorkSafeBC physiotherapy treatment usually run at the Coquitlam studio?
Treatment length under a WorkSafeBC claim is set by your case manager, based on the progress reports your Coquitlam physiotherapist submits rather than a fixed session count we control. Your physiotherapist reassesses at regular intervals and requests continued sessions when the clinical picture supports it. Ask your case manager what your specific claim currently authorises.
What happens at the Coquitlam studio once my WorkSafeBC claim is formally accepted?
Once WorkSafeBC accepts your claim, your Coquitlam physiotherapist treats under the standard accepted-claim process and submits progress reports to your case manager as your return-to-work plan develops. We direct bill WorkSafeBC for approved treatment, so there is no out-of-pocket cost to you. Any additional disciplines, such as kinesiology, are requested through the case manager at that point.
