HOW IT WORKS

Your first WorkSafeBC visit, step by step.

  1. 01

    Report and book.

Your employer reports the injury to WorkSafeBC. Once you have a claim number, call or book online with the Richmond studio.

  2. 02

    First assessment.

Your physiotherapist assesses the injury, screens for anything that needs a physician, and begins treatment with a return-to-work plan in mind.

  3. 03

    Ongoing reporting.

We file the progress reports WorkSafeBC requires and coordinate with your case manager until you're cleared for full duties.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Richmond WorkSafeBC, answered.

Where is the Richmond studio?
We are at 130-8031 Williams Rd in the Broadmoor neighbourhood, at the northeast corner of Williams Rd and No. 3 Rd. Free parking is available at the rear of the building in the commercial spots.
What is the WorkSafeBC Early Access to Physiotherapy Program (EAPP)?
EAPP stands for Early Access to Physiotherapy Program. It is a WorkSafeBC programme that lets workers with sprain or strain injuries start physiotherapy from the day of injury, before a formal case decision. Once the claim is accepted, the Physiotherapy Treatment Period covers up to 10 visits or 5 calendar weeks, whichever is reached first, with extensions available when recovery needs longer. EAPP runs through clinics WorkSafeBC has enrolled in the programme. Being a WorkSafeBC-accepted provider is not the same thing as being enrolled in EAPP, so confirm the current list of enrolled clinics with WorkSafeBC on 1-888-967-5377.
Can I see a chiropractor under WorkSafeBC at the Richmond studio?
Yes. Richmond is one of our studios with chiropractic on-site. We recommend starting with a physiotherapy assessment first so there is a clear return-to-work plan, and then adding chiropractic when there is a specific reason for it and your case manager approves it.
Does the Richmond studio offer kinesiology under WorkSafeBC?
Yes. As of April 1, 2026, kinesiology sessions are approvable under accepted WorkSafeBC claims. Our Richmond team includes kinesiologists, and your physiotherapist can request approval through your case manager once your recovery reaches the strength-building stage.
Does WorkSafeBC cover vestibular physiotherapy for a work-related head injury?
Vestibular physiotherapy is available at our Richmond studio and can be part of a treatment plan for accepted claims involving dizziness or balance problems following a workplace head injury. Your case manager will need to approve it as part of your ongoing care.
How soon after a workplace injury should I book in Richmond?
As soon as possible. Early, active care generally leads to better outcomes than waiting. Book as soon as you have your WorkSafeBC claim number, and the Richmond team can start treatment while the administrative side of the claim is still being processed.
Can I see a Registered Dietitian under WorkSafeBC at the Richmond studio?
Richmond is the only Launch Rehab studio offering dietetics, but standard WorkSafeBC approvals cover physiotherapy, registered massage therapy, chiropractic, and, since April 1, 2026, kinesiology, not dietetics as a routine benefit. If nutrition support is relevant to your recovery, raise it with your physiotherapist and case manager.
How is continued WorkSafeBC treatment approved at the Richmond studio?
Continued treatment under an accepted WorkSafeBC claim is approved by your case manager, based on the progress reports your Richmond physiotherapist submits at regular intervals. There is no fixed session count the clinic sets on its own. If you want to know what your claim currently authorises, your case manager is the person who can confirm it.
Does adding chiropractic at the Richmond studio slow down my WorkSafeBC claim?
No. Adding a discipline like chiropractic does not by itself slow the claim, but it does need your case manager's approval as part of the treatment plan. Richmond's team coordinates physiotherapy and chiropractic on one return-to-work plan so progress reports reflect both rather than arriving separately.
