Care for Burke Mountain.

Burke Mountain is the newest part of Coquitlam, a master-planned, family-oriented community climbing the mountain's lower slopes, on what the City calls its last large undeveloped area. It is young and active, full of growing families, so the care it brings in skews toward children's and teens' sport injuries, trail-running and hiking overuse, and the post-operative and worksite recovery any busy household runs into.

The nearest Launch Rehab studio is down the hill in Coquitlam Town Centre, at Glen Drive and Pinetree Way. A single bus down Coast Meridian drops you at Lincoln Station, steps from the studio, which is set up for one-on-one active rehab on a full strength floor.

WHAT WE OFTEN SEE FROM BURKE MOUNTAIN

The cases the Coquitlam team handles most.

  • Children's and teens' sport injuries: ankles, knees, shoulders
  • Trail-running and hiking overuse from Burke Mountain and Pinecone Burke
  • Post-surgical recovery with one-on-one active rehab
  • WorkSafeBC claims from trades and worksite injuries
  • Post-motor-vehicle-accident recovery through ICBC

These are the presentations we see often from this area, not a diagnosis. The decision to treat happens in clinic, after an assessment with a regulated practitioner.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Burke Mountain & the Coquitlam studio.

  • How do I get to the studio from Burke Mountain?

TransLink route 188 runs down Coast Meridian and stops at Lincoln Station, which is steps from the Coquitlam studio at Glen Drive and Pinetree Way. By car it's a short drive down the hill.

  • Do you treat kids' and teens' sport injuries?

Yes. Our physiotherapists regularly treat youth sport injuries: sprains, growth-plate-related complaints, and overuse from training. The decision to treat happens in clinic, after an assessment with a regulated practitioner.

  • Can you help me get back to trail running?

Yes. Return to running is staged on load tolerance and symptom response, not a fixed timeline. We build you back toward the Burke Mountain trails at a pace your tissue can handle.

  • Can a physiotherapist assess a child after a sport injury at school?

Yes. The Coquitlam studio regularly sees children and teenagers after sport injuries, including those referred by school coaches or athletic trainers. Physiotherapists can assess and treat youth injuries (sprains, growth-related knee pain, and sport-specific overuse) without a physician's referral. Bring any information from the school if available.
