RUNEASI RUNNING ANALYSIS · NEW WESTMINSTER

Runeasi running analysis in New Westminster.

You wear a light belt around your waist and run for a few minutes. One small sensor records how much impact reaches your body, how well your legs absorb it, how steady your hips stay, and how your left and right sides compare.

THE SHORT ANSWER

What is a Runeasi running analysis?

Runeasi is a running analysis system built around one small motion sensor in a belt worn at the waist. While you run on a treadmill or outside, it records how your body moves and takes impact. The app turns that into a running quality score from 0 to 100%, points to your weakest area, and suggests exercises and running tips. Launch Rehab offers Runeasi at its New Westminster studio only.

Runeasi measures how you move while you run. You wear the belt around your waist and run the way you normally do, and the sensor collects movement data the whole time.

A therapist watching you run can see a lot. Some things happen too fast or are too small to see, such as how hard each landing is or a small difference between your left and right side. Runeasi puts numbers on those.

The guides below cover the test, the measures, your score, the belt, the uses, Runeasi's case examples and the research behind it.

WHAT IT IS

What Runeasi is.

Runeasi is a running analysis system that uses a wearable sensor. A light belt around your waist holds the sensor, and it records precise movement data while you run.

Runeasi says the data gives a picture of your whole lower body: feet and ankles, calves, knees, hamstrings, glutes, hips and pelvis.

Runeasi started as a spin-off company of KU Leuven, a university. The company says its system rests on more than 10 years of research there.

WHAT WE ASSESS

Four things the test looks at.

Runeasi measures how your body handles the load of each step. It checks four things:

  • How much impact reaches your body
  • How well your legs absorb that impact
  • How stable and controlled your movement is
  • How your left side compares with your right side

Runeasi links these four things to how efficiently you run, how fast you tire, and your risk of injury.

AFTER THE TEST

What you get after the analysis.

Based on your results, Runeasi gives:

  • Clear feedback on the quality of your running
  • Exercises chosen for your results, as videos
  • Practical tips on running technique
  • Measured data you can use to track progress over time

Runeasi presents this as useful for three goals: preventing injury, recovering from an injury, and running better.

Your running quality score

The session dashboard: an overall score of 74%, then one score for each of the three measures.

WHY RUNEASI

Why we use Runeasi.

Runeasi sums up its case in four points:

  • Objective and based on research
  • Fast and easy to use
  • Measures what the eye cannot see
  • Turns data into practical steps

The test leads straight to a training plan, which helps you move better, run more efficiently and lower your risk of injury.
